Abuja – Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has sworn-in Mu’azu Jaji Sambo from Taraba state as a Minister of State for Works and Housing.
The swearing ceremony took place at the State House Council Chambers on Friday, in Abuja.
The new minister replaces Abubakar Aliyu from Yobe State, who also replaced sacked Minister of Power.
Leadership reports that Senate had on December 21, 2021 confirmed the nomination of Sambo as minister-designate after screening him on Tuesday.
President Buhari had nominated Sambo as a ministerial nominee from Taraba State to fill the vacancy as a result of sacking erstwhile Minister of Power, Engr. Sale Mamman.
Mamman, former minister of power from Taraba state and Sabo Nanono former minister of Agriculture and Rural Development from Kano state were sacked in September, by Buhari.
